The reviewer above is right on the mark about everything. However it's worthwhile to note, too, that the back panel is made of the brown pressed paper board often found on low-end furniture. But the board is securely attached with screws instead of staples which can loosen over time. Not exactly aesthetically pleasing but beds and nightstands are usually placed against the wall anyway. Also I wasn't crazy about the wood or chrome knobs included so I bought a fancier knob at Home Depot. Now the nightstand looks like it's worth twice as much!
