With a rather large video collection, I purchased 2 of these shelves and the Leslie Dame Series 1500. they aren't as tall as I thought they'd be, but they hold a good amount of DVDs. the shorter height makes it easier for children to see all movies on the shelves. There isn't a valence strip on teh front of the shelf that will hide any DVDs stored on the shelves. All DVDs are visible.

The real wood veneer make sthe shelves look like they are made of real wood. Most veneers on other shelves are a gkued on sheet of paper or plastic. These are not. There is a real wood grain displayed, so the shelfves look as if they are made from real wood. Very nice touch.

The shelves are routed out to hide the shelf supports. This is really nice as with other shelves the bracket keeps you from fully utilizing the shelf below. That is not the case with these shelves.

The fiber board back panels are nice. Much better than the cardboard back panels on other shelves. The screws in the back provide additional support, but aren't used to keep the unit square like with the cardboard backed models.

Assembly is easy. Took me 15 minutes, and I was done.

Excellent design, easy fast assembly, and great looks make this a really nice shelf. Only thing I could possibly imagine better would be real solid wood shelves.
