First of all let me tell you all that I had been looking for a rug for my living room for quite some time. I wanted something thick and plushy to contrast the hardwood floors we were going to put it. This rug is plushy and thick and fit the bill with my d�cor and expectations of something soft and good quality. I actually purchased a 5x8 size through Safavieh, they said they would match the price, which they did, found a lower price online and they did. thought it would be better to buy from them in case of any problems. Ended up buying two, this one and a similar smaller one for my loft. Finally the floors were put in a couple of months after I purchased them. So finally I was able to display them. A week or two after I put them. I noticed a sort of unthread of the tight not so pushy part of the rug in a few places. Hadnt even vacuumed it yet. I thought no problem, bought it directly from the manufacturer , its under warranty right, ? I saw all over the internet that they had 1 year warranty so I took a picture and send it to the manufacturer. Emailed the manufacturer, and that's when my nightmare began. Didnt hear from them, so I called. They said first of all that they only have a 7 day return policy, but as a courtesy to me, since its been 2 weeks they would do it. That was after a day or two of waiting for a response. I wanted just an exchange, love the rug, its so beautiful and thick, the colors just right, although expected a bit more burgundy ,and its more of a deep red , but still great contrast to my dark hardwood.! So finally, they said they would send me a shipping label. It took almost a week to get that label, when they said 1 to 2 days. Finally had it ready for UPS to pick up, when they call me to say they don't have more of it,I actually had set all my d�cor centered around this rug, curtains, pillows accent colors EVERTHING! ( not sure why they didnt check stock when this process started ) so they would refund my money and because its been so long to resolve this, I can keep the rug and they would give the money back. I thought great! I will donate this one and get another similar one. Again all this has taken about 2 weeks. Days go by and no refund, I was waiting on the money to start looking again. I email and nothing, so I hopped on their chat room again. they said the refund had been submitted and I should get it. Try and press them on a time frame, no more response on the chat. So I get an email later saying we need the rug before a refund can been submitted. What? so finally my husband calls and has to speak to a manager to get them to hold their word. He actually got them to refund to the card, we had paid paypal, but we wanted our money now. So they did. except that not sure where they got the total, cuz it was $20 less, but at that point I thought forget it, Ill donate the rug and start looking with this. So if you love the rug, which they are great I loved both of them and are good quality. My girls love to play on the loft one Im keeping. But just beware, if you have any problems, the manufacturer can be tricky to work with. They take forever to respond and seems a small company. Other than that this rug is beautiful, thick and aside from those unthreading spots that happened out of no where, never have I vacuumed it and my house is a no shoes in the house home. I say if you have no doubts and don't plan to return it or deal with the manufacturer at all go for it. :)
