I purchased this set for my second home. I liked the idea of getting everthing to match in one package and at a reasonable price. Overall the set is quite nice and makes the room look very nice and "put-together". The chocolate brown fabric is very dark to the point that it almost looks black. The medium brown is like a "coffe with a bit of cream" color.The pattern is a bit more masculine but the lighter color fabric does add a bit of a feminine touch. The bedding is pretty well constructed..there are some loose threads and some flaws but I almost expected that for the price point. The lighter fabric is a little shiny and slippery so the comforter does have a tendancy to slide off the bed but , in all fairness, I do have a shiny blanket underneath it. The draperies are okay...a little thin and a littel short and uneven but we were able to make them work. The set includes 4 valance panels that are thick and lined which makes for a nice "full-look" on my 70" window. However, the sewing on the valances is very crooked and uneven. Luckily, the fullness kinda hides this once hung. If your window is much bigger than my 70" window then the draperies will probably be a bit skimpy and there does not seem to be anymore available seperately (I looked to find matching valances for my master bath). The pillow shams are also nice but the toss pillows are pretty cheaply made (especially the square one). I will probably replace at least the square one at some point. I have not used the included sheet set yet but I have washed them and they came out nice and soft.They are on the thin side since I am used to a much higher thread count sheet but I'm sure they will be fine for the summer time. Overall, I feel that I got a nice value and I am happy with the way the room looks.
