As soon as I received this jute rug I knew that I was sold a low grade jute product. Although the cost ($422) was higher than many jute rugs available from reputable retailers such as Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, West Elm, etc.the quality was terrible.
The description of the item assured that the feel of the jute was soft and comfortable. This is not the case - it is hard and scratchy.
Although the coloring of the rug as seen on Amazon.com is uniform, it is in fact many unattractive shades of jute that do not complement one another.
The jute was also tufted in many spots.
Finally, in a matter of weeks, the jute loops began coming loose from the weave, sticking up in many areas, which can be painful if stepped on.
I contacted the rug manufacturer Anji Mountain, immediately and was referred to the seller, Buy D Best Incorporated. When I spoke to a representative at Buy D Best, I requested a full refund including the cost of shipping as I feel the product was grossly misrepresented on Amazon. I was denied this request by the seller many times. I have continued to pursue this matter as the rug, although in a low traffic area, continues to unravel. I have also submitted claims to Amazon requesting a full refund. Amazon once again contacted the seller on my behalf; Amazon then responded to my claim with the same denial of my request I received after my first grievance.

I never received satisfactory resolution in response to my legitimate complaint regarding serious quality issues. Although I am very disappointed in the seller's poor customer service, I am even more disappointed that Amazon has not intervened to ensure customer satisfaction.

In the future, I will only purchase higher priced items from well-known retailers that stand behind their products and will accept returns or exchanges.

I would recommend NOT purchasing from Buy D Best Incorporated.
