So the directions are a little hard and it takes two people to build it, but wow we are really impressed now that it's in our living space. To us it's actually pretty and we are proud to have it in our home. It's a warm wood color that is a little red-ish. We understand that veneered furniture is more likely to get damaged over time with drinks and humidity but that's to be expected. Wish there was one more self on the other side, just for the option. Overall great for the price.
