I'm not a regular cigar smoker, maybe only once every 6-12 months. But when I do something, I want to do it right. That means great cigars that need to be cared for correctly, and it means a really nice humidor to store them in. I bought this humidor probably about 4 or 5 years ago, and it's exquisite. The beveled glass windows look great (although the two little front windows are kind of pointless, more on that below) and the highly lacquered wood is beautiful.

The lid is heavy and seals very nicely, and the felt on the feet keeps it from scratching the wood table that it sits on. The inner components are well made too, consisting of the top tray, the top tray divider, and the lower divider that's actually a ported box that can contain one of the rectangular humidification devices. All of these are made of Spanish cedar and the edges of the two dividers are lined with a spongy material that keeps them tightly in place without scratching the cedar that lines the walls of the humidor.

The hygrometer mounted on the front has never worked for me. It doesn't seem like the needle ever moves. But based on the reviews of the dozens of humidors I was looking at, this seems to be extremely common and I bought a digital hygrometer that arrived at the same time, so no big deal there.

Now, I do like the windows on the humidor but these two in the front, I think I'd actually prefer it without them. You can't really see much through them anyway, and it forces the removable lower divider to always be located in the center. It won't fit on the sides because of the rounded corners, and anywhere else and it will be blocking one of those two windows, and it doesn't look pretty like that (that spongy material on the two ends of the divider is white, and it sticks out when it's visible in the window). You can always remove the divider completely, but then you have no divider -- and no good place to put the humidifier, either. The lower divider also isn't wide enough to contain the CigarOasis Ultra, which disappointed me. So it's really not good for anything except taking up valuable space for me. I would have preferred two ported, flat dividers rather than this box-shaped one. Then I could set them just wide enough to fit the humidifier between them, in the center of the box.

So okay, it's not 100% perfect for my exact situation, but aside from that divider/humidifier carrier box, everything about this humidor is excellent. Worth every penny, and more.
