I ordered this after falling in love with the colors and pattern, even though I certainly didn't need another throw blanket. It's not what you typically think of as a throw blanket anyway... Very scratchy and stiff, like canvas. It's meant to decorate the foot of a bed, and nothing more. I was thinking I'd drape it over my couch, but it's much too stiff for that. Now I plan to hang it on a high wall. It is very high quality and beautiful. In a dark room, the colors are as you see in the photo. In a well-lit room, the colors are brighter and cooler than the muted, warm tones of the photo. Buy it for its decorative quality, not as a blanket.
