The Wild Zoo Side by Side desk is a versatile desk for computers, homework, art projects etc. It provides a work space for one or two children. The desk can be set up as an efficient work place for two, each with their own computer working side by side. An older child or parent can sit next to a younger one and teach them computer skills. Individual chairs (not included) allow children to enjoy movement and height for their specific comfort. This desk works well for both the right and left handed children. Some children's wheelchairs could fit under the desk. The desk was designed for school or home usage with a sturdy 3/4" thick top with a durable maple look laminate surface. Cord control grommets in the back of the desk allow electrical cords to be safely tucked away from possible wall damage. The assembled dimensions are 23" high, 47-1/2 � wide and 23-1/2" deep. I bought this desk because the kitchen table was no longer practical for my homeschooled kindergartner. This desk is working out perfectly so far. It was easy to put together and seems to be constructed well for the price. I have another child that will be homeschooled when he is old enough which is why I bought a desk large enough to seat two children. In the meantime my daughter enjoys the extra table space and so does her cat. ;-)She is very petite for her age so this table should last a few years for her and her little brother. The hole for the cords will be handy later when she will be using a computer too. The shipping price is a bit more than I wanted to pay but comparable to any other shipping price for oversized items. The price on the desk was really good so that helped compensate for the shipping. It's not a fancy desk but it certainly does the job well enough and I would purchase it again.
